What is an on-chain option?

An option is a contract that gives the buyer the right — but not the obligation — to buy or sell an asset at a set price before a set date. On xStockFi, the entire lifecycle (creation, margin, expiry, settlement) runs on-chain via smart contracts. No counterparty can default and no one can freeze your funds.

What do I need to start?

A crypto wallet (OKX or any EIP-1193 compatible wallet) and a USDG balance. Connect your wallet, deposit USDG, and you can trade every market from that single balance. No account, no KYC, no approval wait.

How does settlement work?

At expiry, xStockFi fetches the final price from the Chainlink oracle on-chain and settles all positions in the same transaction. It's fully automated — you don't need to do anything at expiry.

Do I own the underlying stocks?

No. You hold option contracts that reference the price of tokenized stocks via Chainlink oracles. You don't own shares, you don't receive dividends, and you have no shareholder rights.

What is the Yield Vault?

The Yield Vault automatically writes covered calls on your USDG deposit. It collects premiums and compounds them back into your balance. You earn yield passively without picking strikes or managing expiries yourself.

Can I lose more than I deposit?

Your maximum loss is capped at the collateral you lock per position. You cannot lose more than what you've deposited for a given trade.
